How to get to Paros Greece

The most common way to get to Paros is to fly to Athens and then continue your trip with either a ferry or flight. Ferries can take approximately 3 to 4 hours, while flights take approximately 40 minutes. Some European cities do have direct flights to Paros, and several nearby islands have ferries that have direct routes to Paros.

Note: In order to catch a ferry to Paros on the same day, it is very important to know when you need to land, otherwise you may need to stay somewhere overnight in Athens. It is possible to land in Athens and immediately catch a flight to Paros, but please leave ample time to disembark, navigate customs, and check in for that domestic flight.

FERRY

Ferries to Paros depart from the ports of Piraeus and Rafina in Athens. Please be aware that they are on opposite sides of the city. Like an airport, you must arrive early to board your ferry.

Getting around Paros

RENTAL CAR

The best way to experience the island is by car! Uber is set to begin for the first time this summer, but we are not sure what to expect, and taxis are limited. We strongly recommend renting as this will allow you the freedom to explore beaches and stay out late at your leisure. Vehicles can be picked up at the airport or seaport or even at your hotel. International drivers licenses are no longer required for US citizens.

Parking Info:

Parking is generally free and most accommodations have parking areas. In Naoussa, there are also large parking lots where you can park for a fee… but we recommend to continue driving past those to look for open spots on the road and in the town parking lot, which is free.
